Massage Therapists are able to take all 8 hours online. All technique courses must be hands on and shall not be taken on-line.
Continuing education must be completed within the 24 months immediately preceding the renewal date of October 31. Massage Therapists are required to complete 16 hours of continuing education; up to 8 hours can be taken on-line.
Required: 4 Hours in Ethics.

New Mexico Massage Board Requirements
According to the board, New Mexico massage therapists need 16 Massage Therapy continuing education hours every 2 years for license renewal. Licenses expire on October 31st; the year of renewal is based upon the year of initial license issuance. The continuing education courses shall be offered by providers approved by the board, such as the NCBTMB. Of the 16 hours, 4 CE hours must be in ethics. You can only take up to 8 CE hours in home study/online format.
Renewal Process
Along with your Massage Therapy renewal application, the board requires a renewal fee of $125.
