A maximum of 12 hours of massage continuing education may be completed via online/distance learning or home-study courses, including the 4 hours of Ethics.
Washington State requires 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
A maximum of 12 hours may be completed online.
Required 4 hours in Ethics, 2 hours Rules & Boundaries.
8 hours of continuing education must be LIVE.

Washington State Massage Board Requirements
According to the board, a massage therapist must complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years. Only 12 hours of continuing education may be earned online. A minimum of 8 hours must be in direct supervised massage skills training; a minimum of 4 hours must be in professional ethics, communications; or Washing State massage laws and regulars, two of which must include professional roles and boundaries. The continuing education courses shall be offered by providers approved by the board, such as the NCBTMB.
Renewal Process
Along with your Massage Therapy renewal application, the board requires a renewal fee of $106.
