Courses approved by the NCBTMB are accepted by the Florida Board of Massage Therapy for Continuing Education credit – Current licenses expire at midnight, Eastern Time, on August 31, 2019.
You can complete up to 12 Hours of online / home-study courses, and can include the required 2 CE Hours of Medical Errors, Laws & Rules, and Professional Ethics
24 Hours Total
Included in the 24 Hours, you must obtain:
2 Hours in Professional Ethics
2 Hours in Laws & Rules
2 Hours in the Prevention of Medical Errors
Half (12 Hours) must be completed LIVE
Note: The HIV/AIDS requirement is only required for your FIRST license renewal.

Florida Massage Board Requirements
According to the board, Florida massage therapists are required to complete 24 CE hours every 2 years. The continuing education courses shall be offered by providers approved by the board, such as the NCBTMB. Of your 24 CE hour requirement, you can complete up to 12 Massage Therapy CE hours in home study/online format. Licenses must be renewed every other year on or before August 31st of every odd numbered year.
Renewal Process
Along with your Massage Therapy renewal application, the board requires a renewal fee of $105. Licensees are required to provide proof of their Massage Therapy Continuing Education completion.
